Band Nerd Thoughts in Real Time
I practiced I swear. It was more of like a mental practice…that happened to be part of my multitasking training while playing Xbox. I learned a lot.

Check out Marching Roundtable! Tonight they have Frank Ticheli and tomorrow they have…um…me?! Wait, that can’t be right.
Just for fun, sometimes I’ll give someone across the band the death stare during the entire rehearsal, and then when it’s over and they ask what’s wrong I say, “Nothing, what do you mean? Let’s sit together at lunch.”

This is cool. The Marching Band Nerds Handbook is featured on the iBookstore as a “Funny Books Under $5” bestseller! Does that mean there are a ton of band peeps all over the world or that there aren’t a lot of funny books under $5?

When you make fun of someone because of your own insecurities it’s like when your director is lost in the score and stops the group only to criticize “something they heard.”

Sometimes you sound pretty bad. Then I think about all the hard work, the hours of practice, the hundreds and thousands of dollars that went into it. Yeah, that should really sound better.
